Look up your ScareTicket order by your email address.

If you are still having trouble, please email us at ticketsales@trailofterror.com. Please include your full name, email address, and the date you purchased tickets for.

YOU HAVE SOLD OUT OF TIMED TICKETS FOR THE EVENING I WISH TO ATTEND. ARE TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE EVENT, OR WILL MORE BECOME AVAILABLE ONLINE?

Unfortunately, tickets are not sold in person and are only available online.

As a night we are open approaches, additional tickets may become available in the days leading up to it and on the morning of. This is not always the case and is subject to availability, weather, and other factors. Additional tickets that become available are limited and sell out fast.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING UNFAVORABLE WEATHER?

The Trail of Terror is an outdoor event. Unfavorable weather conditions such as constant heavy rain, high winds, or thunderstorms can cause unsafe conditions for both you, our guests, and the creatures of the Trail. In the event of a weather closing, an announcement will be posted on trailofterror.com and across all our social media platforms by 5pm of that night. Ticket holders will also receive an email of the cancellation with information about rain dates and any other options available.

In the event of a rain date being scheduled, all tickets for the cancelled night will be automatically transferred to the rain date. A refund deadline will be set, and you will be able to refund some or all of your tickets until the posted deadline. After the deadline passes, no refund requests will be honored. Full details will be emailed to ticket buyers.

Depending on the season, remaining open nights, ticket inventory, and other factors, we may also offer open ticket transfers that let you move cancelled tickets to additional dates beyond a single rain date. Whether that option is available—and which nights you can transfer to—can change from cancellation to cancellation. Any transfer options will be explained in the cancellation email.

If no rain date has been scheduled, or the last rain date of the season has been cancelled due to unfavorable weather, tickets will be automatically refunded. (Refunds may take up to 10 business days from the cancel date to post to the original form of payment.)

I FORGOT TO GO ON MY SELECTED NIGHT OR COULDN'T COME. CAN I GET A REFUND OR COME ANOTHER NIGHT?

No. All Timed Ticket and VIP Premium Pass sales are final. Make sure to come on your ticketed date and time.

Tickets are only valid for the year of purchase—unused tickets from previous years can't be redeemed in the future.

I BOUGHT TICKETS FOR THE WRONG NIGHT/TIME. CAN I CHANGE THEM?

Yes, but only if tickets are still available for the time slot you wish to change to. If tickets are available, please email us at ticketsales@trailofterror.com and reference your order number along with the date/time you wish to change to.

You may be asked to verify further information about the order to initiate the transfer, and some transfers may not be possible due to unavailable ticket inventory.

Due to high email demand in September–November, it may take up to two weeks to process your request.

Unused tickets for an already past night will not be transferred or refunded.

I PURCHASED A TIMED TICKET, NOW WHAT?

Timed Tickets are sold for specific entry windows printed on your ticket. Slots may be a full hour or a shorter window (for example, half-hour starts such as 7:30–8:00 or 8:00–8:30). Availability and exact times vary by night—always use the start and end times on your order.

When you arrive, join the designated line for your time slot. Guests for that slot begin entering at the printed start time.

We recommend arriving no more than 30 minutes before your slot starts and no later than 15 minutes before it ends. Arriving too early or too late can mean a longer wait.

Please note that all times are approximate, and the nature of a live event experience can cause times to shift.

CAN I GET A REFUND?

No. Like any live event—concert, play, musical, etc.—Trail of Terror tickets are non-refundable. All sales are final, and tickets must be used on their designated day.

See our weather policy for information regarding weather closings and rain dates.

HOW LATE CAN I ENTER THE TRAIL?

The last Timed Ticket entry slots end at 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and at 10pm on Sundays. Those times mark the end of the final entry window—not when guests finish. The Trail takes approximately 50–60 minutes to walk through, so visitors with a late slot will still be on the Trail after that time.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET THROUGH THE TRAIL?

It takes approximately 50–60 minutes to traverse the Trail.

DOES THE TRAIL DONATE ALL THEIR PROCEEDS, AND ARE ALL THE STAFF VOLUNTEERS?

It is true: the outrageous staff of the Trail of Terror is made up entirely of volunteers. Our staff are also as dedicated to community charities as they are to maniacal merrymaking.

The Trail of Terror has donated over $2.7 million since 1995 benefiting local charities, individuals, and community projects in need.

See our Donations website for a complete list.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

PNA Park, located at the corner of N. Plains Hwy. and N. Plains Industrial Road, provides parking for the Trail of Terror at the cost of $10 per car and $25 per coach or school bus. These fees (cash only) are collected by and for PNA Park and its continued maintenance and services.

Other area businesses' parking lots are not recommended for parking. Be aware of "No Parking" and "Tow Zone" signage, as local businesses will have cars illegally parked on their property towed at the owner's expense.

PNA Park is not affiliated with the Trail of Terror, Scare Crew Productions, Inc., or our affiliates, and does not pay any part of collected parking fees to them.

CAN I BRING FOOD AND DRINK INTO THE TRAIL?

No. Outside food and drink are not allowed within our gates. Concessions are available both before and after the Trail. Water bottles of any type are not allowed. No Exceptions

SINCE THE TRAIL IS OUTDOORS, CAN I SMOKE?

No. Although we are an outdoor event, the entire Trail of Terror property—including anywhere past our gates (line areas, concessions, restrooms, etc.)—is smoke-free. If you must smoke and are still in line for the Trail, you must exit the Trail and smoke on the road. Guests found smoking on the property risk being asked to leave.

ARE COSTUMES, HALLOWEEN MASKS, OR MAKEUP ALLOWED?

No. Guests may not enter the Trail of Terror in a costume, Halloween mask, or costume makeup. You will be asked to remove these items; if you cannot comply, you will not be allowed to enter.

Medical or protective face masks are allowed. See Do I need to wear a mask?

IS THE TRAIL SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?

Parents need to take an active role in determining whether or not their children should go through the Trail of Terror. We do not recommend children under the age of 10 walk the Trail and strongly recommend young children do not attend. Infants and children under 5 are not allowed.

We recommend that children ages 16 and under be accompanied by an adult when entering and that teens 16–18 come in groups.

CAN I SEND SOMEONE TO SAVE A PLACE IN LINE FOR MY GROUP IF WE ARE ARRIVING LATE?

No. Sending a small group to hold places in line for a larger group is strictly prohibited. The line to enter the Trail is formed on a first-come, first-served basis.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

The Trail is an outdoor event that takes place during the month of October. We recommend clothing that you will be comfortable in for a few hours outside. You will be walking in the woods—comfortable footwear is highly recommended (not high heels, flip-flops, open-toe shoes, etc.).

DO I NEED TO WEAR A MASK?

Masks are not required. Medical or protective face masks are perfectly acceptable if you prefer to wear one.

Halloween costume masks and other full-face costume coverings are not allowed. See our costumes policy for details.

I HAVE CONDITION X, Y, OR Z—SHOULD I COME TO THE TRAIL?

You should not enter the Trail of Terror if you suffer from any physical or mental ailments such as asthma, heart condition, vertigo, seizures, respiratory condition, or any type of intense phobia, or if you are pregnant. Please see our list of posted warnings for more information.

The Trail is an outdoor event that uses special effects, theatrical smoke, strobing lights, loud music/sound effects, unsteady/uneven ground, etc. If you believe that any of these will cause you undue physical or mental harm, please do not come to the Trail. If you have specific questions, don't hesitate to contact us at info@trailofterror.com. Please allow up to one week for a reply.

HOW CAN I STAY UP TO DATE WITH THE TRAIL?

We have several ways for you to stay up to date with us. Of course this website, but you can also follow us on X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, Mastodon, and Bluesky.

We also periodically send out emails to our Timed Ticket purchasers. If you want to receive these emails without purchasing a Timed Ticket, just fill out this quick form. We will not sell your address to anyone. You may unsubscribe at any time.
